It has been our experience that even though an editor might look like a match based on their profile or experience, the best way to see if an editor is a fit for your specific needs is to have them edit content for you and see if that content demonstrates the editor has the proper level of knowledge and skill that you will need. On the Assign Titles screen of a project, you can set the Editor Assignment method to Open Editor Job Board. This will post the editing job to Zerys editors with a relevant background and a high editor rating. You will be using our patented SmartPost technology to filter the editors and create a custom pool that will have access to your jobs, with an offered pay rate set by you. After receiving content from a writer, you can also choose to send the content to an editor at that point. Open the document from your Pending Review screen and find "Hire an editor" under the review actions. When an editor submits content to you, open the document and Compare Versions to see what the editor changed from the writer's version. This first draft serves as the best sample you can have of that editor’s work and it will allow you to easily see if an editor has the qualities you need. Once you do find editors you love, add them to your Favorite Editors List and you can then direct assign work to them going forward.
